Idaho Falls, March 2010 DAC Meeting announcement
When: March 20, 2010
Where: To be determined (I will probably post this info later). Maybe Hell's Half-Acre or Blacktail pull-out.
Weather permitting, of course. If it's totally cloudy we'll just drink and talk about astronomy.
Remember, Vernal Equinox occurs at 11:32am Mountain Daylight Time on March 20th.
March 20th events: I know the moon comes in conjunction with the Pleiades which will be cool to see through binoculars and scopes. I've heard that observation with binoculars will be the coolest. I'll be bring my binos. I'm thinking beer and wine and probably a mixed drink for my wife and others. Please RSVP on this blog.

Mission Statement
Welcome to the Drunken Astronomy Club (DAC) blog. The Drunken Astronomy Club is about mixing quality alcohol with astronomical observing. This site is for anyone who enjoys alcohol and astronomy. So, please join this blog and share your experiences. I'll be sharing experiences from our DAC outings (aka star parties) from the Idaho Falls, Idaho U.S.A. area. But anyone from anywhere can join this blog and start their own Drunken Astronomy Club and share their experiences on this blog. At the minimum, tell us where you observed, what you drank and which celestial objects that you observed. If you want to have fun, tell us where you observed (GPS coordinates), what you drank and how each drink tasted and how many AND weather conditions, seeing conditions, celestial object explanations, post pictures,etc....The purpose of this site is to have fun and to share our experiences. We all aspire to get drunk under the stars. Tell everyone about it at this site. For safety purposes, I have to tell you that you always need a DD (Designated Drinker...I mean Driver) with you if you are driving to and from your star parties. Because we want to hear about your experiences on this blog and not from a police scanner, newspaper, radio or telly. So let's get drunk and discover the universe.
